I tried several of my online resources but couldn't find anything. I did however, find this in my Joy of Cooking book...
Basic Flavored Butter -
In a small bowl, cream with a fork or wooden spoon:
1/4 stick butter, unsalted and softened
salt and ground white pepper to taste
Nut Butter -Prepare basic flavored butter above. Pulse in a food processor or pound with a mortar and pestle 1/4 cup nuts. Add 1 teaspoon water if the nuts seem to dry, stir into the butter.
