Ok my son is only a toddler not a teenager, but he likes the silken style tofu (that's the long life kind that comes in a little cardboard box) crumbled and stirfried with noodles, beansprouts, garlic and soy sauce, kind of like a chow mein.
Otherwise, yes I recommend the kind of things Madeira is suggested. For myself, I like to slice it & marinade it for a few hours in soy sauce lemon juice garlic and chilis, then grill it. You could leave out the chilis though, or try something else in the marinade. Hoi Sin sauce makes a good marinade for tofu as well.
