What to bring to a British potluck?????

If you're used to ordinary mayonnaise, Bob, you might find Miracle Whip a bit sweet. It always tastes really sugary to me. I'll stick with my real mayonnaise and fat be damned! 

Precisely.  There's just no substitute for real mayonnaise, IMO.

Bummer. I do like mayonnaise. Used to eat mayo sandwiches (ie no meat cheese etc just bread and thick spread of mayonnaise.

I have a super easy marinated mushroom recipe

In case anyone wants it.....

2-3 largish handfuls button mushrooms, trimmed and cleaned
6 Tablespoons minced parsley
1 clove garlic, minced
6 Tablespoons veggie oil
2 Tablespoons wine vinegar (red is better than white)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/8 tsp pepper

Boil whole mushrooms 5-10 minutes.  Mix ingredients together and stir in mushrooms.  Marinate at least 3 hours.
