A great PETS scheme vet in Washington, DC
« on: June 29, 2007, 06:07:02 PM »
I can't reiterate how wonderful the folks are on the boards here- I am preparing to move to Scotland this fall with my kitty and  I have gotten great information from the PETS section here.

I wanted to let any people who are in the Washington, DC area planning to travel with pets to the UK that my vet has a separate department that deals specifically with the PETS scheme, and they are amazingly thorough and know the scheme back and forth.

Apparently they deal with a lot of international travellers since this is Washington, so I just wanted to recommend them after hearing about so many people who have clueless vets:

My kitty is almost done with his 6-month post-chip-rabies-titre wait period, so excitedly we go into the next phase of our journey.

Good luck everyone!  :)
Moved from Washington DC to the Orkney Islands November 2007
Received ILR October 2012
Received UK Citizenship April 2014

that's great. It's nice knowing you dont' have to stress quite as much since they should know what they are doing.

Hurrah!  Now if they'd just share their experience with vets across America.... :)
