Where is the cheapest long term parking around Heathrow?

My hubby and I are going back to the States for a visit in September and we need to put our car into long term parking while we are away.  Does anyone have any recommondations or suggestions?

Long term parking around Heathrow is expensive.

How long are you away for?  Do you need to take the car to the airport?

We don't have any other way to get to or from the airport.  The cheapest I could find is £69.95 which is cheaper than two train tickets.

It's been awhile but last time we parked long term at Heathrow we used Purple parking. It was the cheapest at the time however I don't recall how much that was.

We just used Purple Parking at Heathrow for a 3 week visit to the US - quite far from the airport, but reasonably well organised.

As for costs, it actually worked out to be free, as I exchanged my Tesco Clubcard vouchers to pay for it - if you shop at Tesco, this is a good deal!!! Have a look at www.tesco.com/clubcard.

I think we found the Purple parking to be the cheapest too.  My husband had a hard time finding it the first time so make sure you have good directions. 

We've used Purple and were very happy. It is a bit off the beaten path, but it is easy to just leave your car and hop into a van to the airport.

The cheapest way we found to park at Heathrow was to book a room the night before our flights at the Holiday Inn and they would include up to 14 days of parking in the price.  Our room was around £59 for a double.  Then you catch the shuttle from the hotel to Heathrow for a small cost of £2.50 pp each way.  You can sometimes find specials at www.holidayextras.co.uk   good luck
