Cheerios Oats?
« on: July 09, 2007, 11:29:06 PM »
I saw an ad on TV the other night for NEW Cheerios Oats.  I ran into the other room telling DH that my beloved Cheerios were finally here.  I haven't seen any in our local stores yet, but Sainsburys has them online.  From the nutritional information, it looks like they are sugary. :(

Has anyone tried them yet?

haven't tried them, but when I saw the commercial, my initial thought was "well that's what cheerios are supposed to be."

Then I missed the bee from the honey nut Cheerios.
Another shameless promotion for www.mclevey.com, the best place on the internet to buy art.

i have tried them, and they are sweeter than they should be, but not quite as sweet as the other white boxed cheerios here.

Huh?  I've been eating multigrain Cheerios for months.  Are these different?

Found them today.  That's my opinion too... they don't taste as sweet as the others, but are still sweet.  Why can't they just cut out the sugar all together! :P

They were 1.99 a box or 2 for £2.  So I have two boxes to get through.

I got really excited when I saw this post this morning, but did brace myself for the let down. Oh well, thanks for sharing your findings. Cheerios (Plain, US-style) are one of the only food items that I really miss from the US, and haven't either found a replacement for, or forgotten about.

I was so excited when my parents came to visit and brought me "real" Cheerios. To be honest, I've eaten two bowls and can't stomach the rest. I don't like them anymore which is bad since I loved them. I think I need to try these new ones though just to see

Same thing happened to me when I just visited home with Kashi Go Lean Crunch. I used to love the stuff, and my mom had stocked up for my visit, but I really couldn't stomach it anymore. I didn't have any 'real' Cheerios that trip...I wonder if I still like them!

We get Cheerio's too, but they're definitely sweeter here than in the States. I wonder why? More kiddie appeal? They were a breakfast staple when I was growing up.
