British Airways changing DFW to Heathrow
« on: August 10, 2007, 04:17:23 AM »
Just in case anybody else was as confused as I was, as to why I couldn't find any of the DEFRA approved flights from DFW to LGW after March...

Effective from March 30, 2008, British Airways will move their Dallas/Ft Worth and Houston services from London Gatwick to London Heathrow. There will be one daily flight from Dallas/Ft. Worth and two daily flights from Houston, all of which will be operated by Boeing 777s.

Open Skies permits BA to fly non-stop from Dallas/Ft. Worth and Houston to Heathrow for the first time, and BA are especially delighted to welcome Dallas/Ft. Worth travellers to Heathrow for the very first time in British Airways' history.

While these routes have been well served from Gatwick, moving to Heathrow makes it easier for customers to transfer onto the BA global network via their new home at Terminal 5. The state-of-the-art Terminal 5 will be capable of handling 30 million customers a year offering an unrivalled airport experience with a wide range of dining, shopping and relaxation options.

I guess I will call BA tomorrow and make sure this new flight is DEFRA approved. It must be.
