Going home to USA before 3 year mark?
« on: August 08, 2007, 04:47:40 PM »
Well, I've decided to move back next Spring which means that I will have resided in the UK for a little less than two years.  When I initially entered the country, I said that I intended to settle permanently in the UK on my P86...not the case anymore...

I'm curious to know what sort of tax advantages (if any, that is..) I can claim on the UK side of things.  Will I be entitled to some sort of tax refund and will my coding change?

Should I open an offshore account or is it too late to do that?  Anyway, just wondering if there's anything I need to do at this point or do I just contact Inland Revenue after leaving?

Thank you very much for your help!
