Does anyone make their own PB? I'd be interested in learning how to do it.

I like natural PB and haven't been able to find anything good here.

I buy the Whole Earth brand natural PB.  Do you not like that one?

I had used the Smuckers natural one for so long in the US, I can't stand any peanut butter that has sugar added to it any longer.  (like most of the major US brands)

Where can you buy it? I've never seen it before.

Yes, at Sainburys & they have it at Morrisons up here too.  I would imagine that most of the major supermarkets carry it.

Here is what it looks like (the one I buy):

Ok, it has peanuts, palm oil & salt -- so not quite as natural as the Smuckers one, but as close as I've found & for me the main thing is no added sugar.  I'll bet you could find one with just peanuts & salt if you really hunted around somewhere, like health food shops & speciality food boutique type places.  But I've been reasonably happy with the Whole Earth one.  (cross-posted with QG) :)

I suppose I did have PB fear! Tee hee!! If the stuff I saw at Lidl is the Rt 66 stuff, and I can't recall if it is, no matter what the taste, I would find the pale color off-putting. It made me think of PB made with peanuts that hadn't been roasted and I'm not a fan of unroasted peanuts.

That said, AYouBob may have persuaded me to try it!!

Well, the reason for my fear comes from a recent experience with Tesco Value peanut butter. I bought it to make something with and then wondered if the rest of the jar would be edible for sandwiches & regular eating.

It's not.
