welcome blu, sorry I shortened your name to say hello...but trying to remember the spelling was proving to much for the morning brain.

welcome back? to UKY...  I would suggest to you a visit to northumberland, it is quite beautiful...but my dh might get upset as he likes it to remain a best kept secret...lol

I love LONDON -- I work here so when I get a day off or a chance to wander around during the weekend -- I take it!  My hubs and I go back and for to Market Harborough a few times a year.  It's very nice and quiet - not too big and not too small.  They have a GREAT Mexican restaurant there too.

Hello fellow NYer, welcome!  Where in NY are you from?

Hmmm, where to go.  I have to think about that.  I've been stuck here for lack of visa (not anymore) for a long time, so I'm not sure.  I will get back to you on that.

Take a look under Travel and Transport.  Someone started a thread on your top 5 places to go (or something like that).

 ;D
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Hi to all of your New Yorkers from yet another New Yorker who has just found your site by happy accident!  I have lived in Oxford for 26 years so I can recommend visiting.  I am hosting a July 4th barbecue this Sunday - any menu suggestions?  It's been so long since I went to one I've forgotten what to serve!  I look forward to chatting with all of you.  I'm still homesick even after all of this time.  I went to NYC last summer and a week from Friday I'm off to Boston to my best friend's wedding.  I can't wait!
