75 Years of Twinkies!

Yep, hard to believe, but today is the 75th Anniversary of the beloved Twinkie.

And my sainted mother got us 2 boxes of them bang on time - came in yesterday's post!!

My Mom's bringing some Twinkies over on Thursday.  Who would have guessed that they've been around so long?  Blimey.

Awww...twinkies remind me of being a kid.    I used to love to break them in half legnth wise then break them in half the other way, making 4 long thin strips.....lick the frosting from each then eat the cake.  YUM.

What about Ring Dings? Do they still even make those?

I used to LOVE Ding Dongs, Hostess Cupcakes and Twinkies when I was little but now that I'm older they just seem too sweet. :-/ But I still LOVE snowballs..go figure. (does anybody remember those?)

i LOVE snowballs.....i get them when i'm traveling at the gas stations.

Something about hot pink coconut covered marshmellow covered chocolate cakes filled with creme.
