I grew up on margerine and when I set up my own housekeeping, I still bought margerine.  But then we moved to the US and the margerine was just awful there (really though, what margerine isn't?) so we changed to butter and never looked back.

Butter.

We never had margarine in our house growing up.  I tried it at my friends house and thought it was bizarre.  Never have had the taste for it.

DH keeps buying lite marg to put on bread and it bugs me. I keep trying to get him to just use less butter and ditch the fake stuff.

We use Flora Omega 3 plus but I have always preferred the taste of butter.

Here is a link to butter vs. margarine from the Mayo clinic.

Country Crock at my dads, when I went to go live with my mom in my teens she had Country Crock as well. I don't use butter or spread that often but Dh does. he was using Flora light but now he is using Utterly Buttry. I did find the 500g Bennecol light spread on sale at Sommerfields that is very nice.  :)  but at the original price I wont be getting that again  £4.59 ouch.  :o  I only use butter/spread on my baked potato or my toast.

Country Crock!

I heard a comedian's monologue once talking about all the supposedly butter-tasting marg out there - such as, 'I Can't Believe It's Not Butter', etc etc.  Then he said - 'Country Crock!  The only brand with truth in advertising!' ;)

My fave is butter, but we do have some brand of sunflower spread/marg we use for sandwiches sometimes.
