I've always known them as Magic Cookie bars although I never knew what was so magical other than taste. It's interesting to see the regional name differences. I must make some of these tomorrow :)

Magic Bars here! Although, for many years we called them Mrs. H's Bars because a neighbour made them and I'd never had them before. I thought they were her creation!
