One way airline ticket
« on: October 12, 2007, 06:26:02 PM »
Last night I started doing research on booking my ticket to move to London in Dec.
The rates were just crazy one way. I found a decent rate with American to Dublin and
then taking Aer Lingus to London....but that's an extra whole step to take...
I just did a search on this board and found an old post from a couple of years ago saying to check out orbitz for a one way fare and guess what?? it worked!  I wanted to post
this just incase someone doesn't go back far enough to see that old post.
Orbitz really has the best rates I've seen on one way fares out of all the other websites
I've searched.

glad you found a good ticket!  persistence pays off.

Good job!  Orbitz really was good.  I was going to do one way, but, I couldn't seem to get a one way on the flight that my dogs were on and that is what I needed.
I am the architect of my destiny.

I'm actually going to have to move before my pup does...  :( I originally got some incorrect info from a vet regarding the time period to wait to get her blood test and didn't get it done until July, so she'll be able to travel in Jan...but I have a very good friend who has offered to watch her and who my pup just adores so at least if I have to be apart from her for a month I know she's in good care. I think I'm using continental for her because she'll be flying from Austin too. They've given me some good info and the price seems to be reasonable for her..it's $538. I guess that will at least give me the chance to be settled before I get her too. (I'm really trying to talk myself into being ok with being w/o her for a month...and at least it's not 6 months!)
