That is soooooo cool!!  I will definitely keep that in mind for the future because I definitely want to 'give' my kids my/their favourite recipes.

I thought it was pretty cool too. We have some recipes that we want and they are all just photocopied or handwritten and all over the place. This is so much better!

Nice! A year or so ago, I gave someone a wedding present of a big basket containing a Williams-Sonoma pie dish, rolling pin and oven glove - along with some handwritten pie recipes!

AllRecipes.com will also let you put recipes into your own "recipe box" on their site.  It's free and easy to use.

My favorite cookbook is "The Settlement Cookbook."  I saw it on Amazon.com today.  I've got the Third Edition (yellow cover) and love it!  I bought mine in the very early '80s and use it more often than any other cookbook I own.  It covers everything from how to boil water to shopping, selecting pots and pans to housekeeping and stain removal.  The recipes are made from things pretty easy to find too.  I don't know if it would be too much information for a 13-year-old, but it's a great cookbook.
