LOL!  Interestingly enough, back in the day (this is many moons long gone by now), my mom was convinced she was a hopeless failure at making pie (and it didn't help that she was always comparing her efforts to my grandma -- the formidable family pie maker), so she had more or less given up on it.  And then I taught my mom to make pie -- I was 20-something at the time, she would have been around 60 then.

That is exactly why my mom never made pies.  Except it was her MIL who was the pie maker.

Im making one myself today too - for the kids. Cant convince them to try the pumpkin. That's okay though, more for me!

I made a yummy pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving.  I made the dough from scratch as well and it was SO good.  No pics though.
