If it's going back and forth between US/UK, is there one (like wire transfer) method to use, or do you use EFT if transferring from US to UK, but wire from UK to US?

I'm pretty sure that EFT is only within the US and Canada. I only ever use wire. I make my transfers from the UK to US and Europe. I don't think banks in the UK and Europe are set up for EFTs. Keep fire the questions if you need more info, I'll try to help.

I thought you could do BACS from the UK to XeTrade and then they would convert the funds and deposit it into the US account in the form of an EFT payment?

I am trying to book a trade now but I only get two error messages.  Either "enter both a buy and sell amount" so I do and then the next message is "Only enter a buy OR sell amount."  ARG!!!

And with the conflicting information I am getting from people at XeTrade about how to do things, so far, I am not impressed at all.

Do you want to 'buy,' for example, $300, or do you want to sell, £300?
If you want to say, buy $300, meaning you have a payment to make of $300, you put in the 'buy' space 300 and then in 'Currency to buy' drop down menu put USD and in the 'Currency to Sell' drop down menu, put GBP.
Does that make sense?

I think I am being dense.  I need to send 250 GBP from my UK account and turn that into 500 USD in my US account.  So, I guess I just don't get if I am buying or selling.

Great, thanks!  The people at XeTrade just confused me and so now I am a bit lost.
