Oooh, i made that last year!    Everyone hated it except me... i thought it was nice!

I was about to ask how that was - I wanted to try it but have the feeling I'm the only one who would like it!  ;)

Everyone here loved it. I used 2 of the smaller ginger cakes from M&S. Didn't use as much bacon as it was called for and used a big bramley apple instead of a eating apple..bit of tart in it.

All the recipes were FAB...and WHSmith has it on sale

Nigella Feast...it has recipes for ANY holiday from across the Globe! Even Thanksgiving ones...

I just got back from England for Christmas with DB's family and this is what we had:

turkey
pigs in a blanket (sausages in streaky bacon)
roasted parnips and potatoes
carrots
mashed potatoes
yorkshire puddings
brussel sprouts
stuffing (some kind of chestnut one)
bread sauce
cranberry sauce (the whole cranberry kind)  :-[
trifle
Christmas pudding (I got to light it on fire!)  :)
trifle

Round 2: (yes, later on Christmas Day!!!)  :o
ham/gammon
cream puffs
cheese balls
paté
chocolate cake
sausages in philo dough
cheese and crackers
battered prawns
salmon with cheese on bread
Christmas cake
mince pies
and a couple of more things I can't remember.

I was amazed at how much food there was!!!
