List of paper work we have collected for ILR

We have been collecting this paper work since May 06 I hope we have enough but I imagine we do the suitcase is full to the brim. This will be the 2 year visa ILR.

Marriage certif
Birth certif both of us
Passports both of us ( but wifes surname has not been changed yet on this)
Death certif and divorce papers
Need to get pics for both of us
Bank statements for my wife self employment x4 months
Savings statements x3 months


Gas/ Electic bills for almost every month in joint names showing our address
Mobile phone bills for everymonth with both names on
Council tax bill joint names 2006/07
hospital appointments in my name
Hospital appointment for one of the boys addressed to both my wife and I
Water rates bill in both names
Contract Letter for new bathroom and reciept of payment
NHS CARD (Registration)
Letter for my NI Number and appointment
Lifeline bills joint names.
Visa bills in wifes name (both have cards for this)
Visa bills in my name (both have cards for this)
Letter addressed to both of us from B'ham university off a tutor
Letter of virgin media addressed to my wife
TV Licence letter addressed to me and tv licence addressed to me
2x different bank accounts and different banks joint names for last 2 years
Insurance details/policy for household insurance both names
Insurance for me as an employer
Insurance for my wheelchair as I do not drive a car
Car insurance for my wife
Junk mail from banks and others. loads for every month back up post
Letter from college for wife
Letter for a Job I did not get
Letters from tax office for me as an employee
NI Contributions letter for wife/ tax letters
Solicitors letter for change of names for the children
Mortgage payment schedule wifes name

I would just like to ask where the date is concerned these are all dated by day/month/ year, however there are a few that only have the month/year on will this be a problem?

Would have land line bills for telephone  but need to send off origianal marriage cert so waiting till after visa, do not want to loose mariage certif at this stage.

We are taking the suitcase with us just incase we need extra documentation at least my wife can just nip to the van and get it rather than having to come home. We have put at least 3 pieces of paper work per month joint names and 1 for each of us.

I hope we have enough stuff and I hope the list will help others who maybe wondering what to use when they go. We have saved just about everything that has fallen onto the mat and everyone we have had appointments with or bills with we have asked them to put everything in joint names if possible, some have just added the name on in part of the bill others have put it in together with the address.

if you/spouse are currently on an FLR, I dont think you need marriage certificate,divorce papers and etc, for ILR as you wouldve shown it when applying for the FLR

Yes we did but on the form (Info) it repeats them again so we are taking them just incase, better to not require them than to and not have them.

My wifes ex-husband passed away last year so we will have to take death certif in also. I think.

We have got everything just incase, my wife is a just incase person, she has just finished putting a selection into a nice folder now, she has everything else in plastic sleeves in date order and the type of letter/bill ect it is just incase, the day we burn this stuff will be wonderful, its almost taken over our bedroom and study, along with everything else we have, we could save a rain forest I think we have most of it in our house at the moment.

But just hope it is enough errrrrrrrrrrrrr

im doing the same.. plastic sleeves for each month of every year and between 2-4 letters for each month,  all in a binder with dividers. lol
