ILR Out of Country Days
« on: January 07, 2008, 12:08:37 PM »
morning everyone-
i'm eligable for ILR based on (5) years on WP then HSMP in Sep 08.  So far... I have been out of the country for (394) days.  (65) since Sep 07.

all but (40) of these days were for business.

when i go to apply for ILR, I will most certainly be above (450) days for last (5) years and abve (90) days for last (1) year.

just double-checking- i'll be fine as long as I have a letter from employer stating that these trips were necessary for my continued employment.  right?

thanks
meg

This is fine.

They really need to make some changes to the way those rules are worded so as to accommodate the more modern requirement for professional mobility.

thanks garry.  what confused  me is that the 450 stayed the same when they changed from 4 to 5 years.  (i would have been fine under the 4 year rule- and i would have had my ILR by now).
