American Brownie Co.
« on: September 17, 2008, 11:08:19 AM »
So this morning (omg it's 3am :o) I was watching Unwrapped on the Food Network and they went to The American Brownie Company. I about died and went to heaven when I saw their brownies especially the Double Dark Chocolate  [smiley=iloveyou.gif]

Now I tried to find the recipe online but couldn't. I did come across on the website the nutritional information and they list the ingredients. My question is...

Are they all the ingredients? If I go and try to make these will I be missing an ingredient?

WAIT!...I'm not even sure how ha...I just thought of that. Instructions on how to make them I do not have! ugh...

Any Ideas on how to make such delicious looking brownies? They almost look like ooooey goooey ...dense and thick cake...*drools*

Ganache is easy enough to make, you can google that recipe - that's what the cream is for.

As for the brownie, I cannot recommend this recipe enough:

The one thing is to watch the baking time... the edges can get overdone before the middle is cooked - note the instructions for testing it at the bottom of the recipe. In addition to that, I've had to cover with foil and turn the heat down so the edges stay ok. But I've had very hot ovens here to deal with.

I am famous for these brownies! Wish I could take the credit, though!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Thanks balmerhon

The centers are my favorite. I usually cut the whole pan up into squares, grab a spatula and pull out the center peice haha
