Wow! We have to supply our own bins! It's not nearly £40 to buy one, though -  more like £8 at Focus.  :-\\\\

It might come back in a week or two, if you have neighbours like ours. ::)

J finally got fed up with the vanishing bin, which occasionally reappears full of someone else's rubbish, and went through it looking for correspondence. The culprit turned out to be a posh shoe/lingerie boutique down the street! He took the pile of evidence and confronted them with it--on a Saturday afternoon, while the shop was full of customers. >:D

yep, ring the council & ask for another one.

then wait about eight months for it to show up.

A couple of weeks ago I thought my wheelie bin had been nicked (this being a week after my green box for glass recycling had disappeared).
Turned out it was across the road in an alley.....because it had been a very windy day, a neighbour across the street had arrived home to find wheelie bins scattered all over the street so he just put them all in the alley out of the way.

Yeah, but in Wales you get free drugs!  I'd say that's worth a lot more than a bin... ;) :D

Good point!

(We do get free bin bags and compost bins, though)

I meant to update on this (because its oh so important, haha!)

I called up the council and she immediately was like, "oh sure, we'll get one out to you as soon as possible!"  Easy peasy, no hassle- but now I'm just waiting.m

Edited to add: Okay, must be because I just posted this today, but I get home tonight and my original garbage bin has been returned to me! Hmmmm!!!!
