Aer Lingus - possible industrial action
« on: February 24, 2008, 01:53:43 PM »
Hi everyone,

I'm not sure whether this is the right place to post this, so mods please move it if necessary.

I went on to Aer Lingus to check-in online and found out that there's possible strike action going on from tomorrow (Monday February 25).

I called them and they said they couldn't assure me that I would be able to fly tomorrow and said that I'd get a full refund. I had to book a ticket with BA toot-sweet!

Hmm worrying. I booked a ticket through cheaptickets and it's with AA. I have to fly AL from Dublin to Heathrow then Heathrow to NY with AA. AL is the airline that AA is having me fly with for whatever reason. If a strike were to happen, what would happen? Is AA responsible for sorting me out to get from Dublin to Heathrow? I know it's a bit away but I know AL has been planning this for ages and I don't think it's going to be pretty

I'd check with AA as soon as possible. The AL operator said it may not happen as the last time the strike was called off minutes before the deadline.
