LOL!!   I did the same thing!  I looked at Genmaicha, which is what Mort had called it.

Actually, they are not the same thing though both are delicious. Matcha is powdered green tea which is kinda whisked into the water (I think.) Genmaicha is brown rice tea which is regular green tea (maybe slightly finer) with roasted brown rice.

Edited to add: Thank you Wikipedia! It turns out that genmaicha is occasionally sold with matcha added, to produce stronger green tea flavor.

And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

Ahh, thank you.  It seemed different when I was looking at the Matcha teas.

i drink my tea black--no milk, no sugar. and the best one i've found is good, old yorkshire.

since i've been pregers, though, i've tried to keep to fruit/herbal teas--either celestial seasonings sleepytime or just plain lemon tea.

I found the Matcha now, but crivvens, it's expensive!  :\\\'(

It is, but you only need about a teaspoon. It's really strong.

I've just looked at the Julian Graves website to see if they sell dandelion coffee, but they don't. Do any of the other chains sell it? We don't really have any health food shops here.

Do you have a Holland & Barratt? I think I have seen it there.

LA  ;)

But I'll bring you some if you want. I'm going on Wednesday.
It is so good for baking. I have a great recipe for a green tea, white chocolate cheese cake.

Pebbles, I don't know if you ever found a new tea, but we just picked up some Rooibos today for something different.  I can't agree with the glowing reviews enough.  I bought a small box of Eleven O'Clock (organic version of Tick Tock), and now I wish I bought the big box. :-\\\\  I am on my third cup since we got home, and I don't normally drink tea.

I am drinking it with a little cream in it, but I guess most people outside South Africa just drink it black.

Thanks for the info Moggs. I may check it out!
A lovely UKYer sent me a few samples of different teas. I really liked the chai tea the best!
