I have nothing to say about the controversy, but I have to confess I couldn't stop reading until I'd gotten through the whole list.  Some of them were pretty funny.

Ditto. My favourite was the threatening to move to Canada. I especially liked at the bottom it said that Canadians threaten to move to Europe and Europeans have no place to threaten to move to. LOL.

As much as I love BBC Radio 4, I miss just flicking on the radio to NPR.  I guess you know what that makes me.

I love that website...cracked me up. I sat here laughing so hard a few weeks ago and my mom kept going "WTF IS SO FUNNY!?" and I read some of them too her and she and my stepdad both cracked up.

Some people are just so touchy.

As much as I love BBC Radio 4, I miss just flicking on the radio to NPR.  I guess you know what that makes me.

npr.org keeps me sane, sometimes.  And luckily, I can get some NPR programmes through the radio channels on my telly.

Yeah, I do the online thing, but my old NPR station shuts off after an hour and I have to refresh it.  Very frustrating when I am in the middle of something and have to restart the feed.

Mr. Moggs and I are going to invest in a nice digital tuner radio.  He thinks I will be able to get NPR on there.

ETA:  I will have to check the telly thing.  Is it subscription or freeview?

My husband bought me a DAB radio thinking I could get NPR on it, but I don't.    

We have the Virgin digital tv.  It's World Radio Network, or something like that, and the NPR programmes are inbetween Radio Poland and Radio Netherlands and stuff like that.  But I can still get All Things Considered (at the time it's broadcast in the US) and the weekend programmes, like Car Talk and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me and Prairie Home Companion.  It's "channel" 920 on our telly.

Otherwise, I listen to the programmes direct from the NPR website, rather than my former local station.

I did e-mail NPR and ask why Germany has an NPR-dedicated radio station and the UK doesn't - and I was told that the UK just wouldn't "release" one for NPR.

If you have access to a US iTunes account, many of the popular NPR shows have podcasts.  Just a thought.
