Hopefully she and her sister, the luckless new driver, will get to spend some time here this summer. Captn Dani has grown about a foot since that summer tho. I have ordered her to cut it out  [smiley=laugh4.gif]

I want to go to Scotland and see the kewl lock there that is kind of like a ferris wheel thing. It looks really interesting. Anyone done the Scottish canals and seen it?

I've not been on a canal boat, but i live very near to the Falkirk Wheel and we went up there to tour the visitors centre and watch the boats coming off the wheel.  It's really interesting!!

Okay, next time anyone dares do the Caen Hill locks in Devizes, Grraham and I will walk up to cheer you on. (Yup, we're in walking distance.)

And, we've been to the Falkirk Wheel  ;D A really fun day out!

Our boat is moored in Keynsham so we've done Bristol <- x -> Bath several times as a day trip.

And if anyone is doing the Edinburgh to Glasgow trip on the Union Canal to the Falkirk Wheel (which takes you onto the Forth & Clyde canal), my dog and I can come and cheer you on at Linlithgow, cos we are a 5 minute walk from the Union canal there.  :)
