Now I've only had to change an airline ticket once or twice before, so I need some advice on this.
I do have tickets booked to fly to the US on April 29th and fly back on May 7th. But long story short, due to my mother's health I will need to fly out in the next week more than likely, and depending on when they can do her surgery may not be back for a few weeks (depending on work and such too).
Now I've booked the tickets directly with US Airways, so would only need to contact them to change it. But my concern is my return date back to the UK won't be firm for awhile, since the surgery is to stop my mother's seizures and I have no idea how long she'll need me there. Does anyone know if the airlines would be flexible on the change fee in this case? I'm thinking not, but if anyone has had prior experience of something like this I'd appreciate any advice.
