is no news, good news after applying?
« on: April 22, 2004, 03:42:43 AM »
nervous nellie here...  :-\\    Embassy received my paperwork for a fiance visa Monday according to FedEx tracking site.

If I've not heard anything does that hopefully mean everything was in order? I've read some people get phoned if the Embassy wants more info. Do others get rejected without any contact?

arrrrgghhhhh the waiting is terrible...

It could just mean that they're busy.  Try to relax and not worry.  It'll be ok.   :)

If it makes you feel any better I am waiting nervously along with you...according to Fed Ex my paperwork was received Tuesday by the consulate. I regularly find myself checking my email..and my answering machine..waiting is the worse part!!!

Well I know how you feel about waiting anxiously for a visa. I had to do that last month for my spousal visa and I waited 5 days and when I didnt hear from them I called the consulate that following Monday morning and the people were kind enough to look up my application and see what was going on. So if youre feeling that anxious (I was due to fly out to the UK with my husband that weenkend so I wanted it back with that stamp a.s.a.p - lol) I would suggest giving them a ring.  :)

I  know it's silly to worry, but in my head this is the last hurdle to overcome.. even more so than selling my house.  I'll try to be patient and keep packing and shipping.
