There was one on a thread I saw using sauerkraut but I can't find it.

Can anyone help?  :-*

Is this the one? http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=30712.15

A lot of Americans I know think this sounds different and don't want to try it, but when I make it, I always get resoundingly positive responses.  It is always a hit and it's super-easy

Cook a bottle of sauerkraut with chopped potatoes, caraway seeds, salt and pepper to taste and plop a pork roast in the middle of it all.  You don't need to add any water, there's plenty from the sauerkraut, and it tenderizes the meat in such a good way!!  Trust me, it's the best way to make a pork roast.

Many Americans don't want to try it b/c they think they don't like sauerkraut, I just tell them that they don't have to eat the sauerkraut if they don't want to, but surprisingly they usually end up loving that too.  I just don't think most people have tried sauerkraut with the right recipes.
