CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

thank you thank you!!:)

I did notice though that only my name is on the appointment, does that mean they may not let Richard in?  Do I need to make another appointment in his name for the same time so he can come in with me?

my name was only on my appointment confirmation too. depending on who is outside checking the appointment confirmation times, they may/may not let Richard up with you. I fretted about this too. when i gave the guy my appointment paper and passport, when he handed it back to me; Sean (my dear other half) asked *very* politely if he could accompany me upstairs, as he is my sponsor and he was given the okay to come up with me.
no, you only need to make one appointment for you. (i called the consulate prior to our trip to NY and asked that same question).

See I do this to myself way to much!  I am making myself nervous for no reason!  But I need him there with me, I will also need a shot of something strong so I don't get sick!

i think the over-nervousness is all part of the application process!! it took me a good few hours to calm down and really relax after i had my passport back. :) i think your chances of him being able to come up with you are good, (but be prepared just in case he is refused entry with you...)

Oh yes, next time, post something about wanting a hotel recommendation in NYC!  I could have told you that was not a good one!

we booked the Metro hotel via Expedia (who had always been decent in the past and properly represented their trips/hotels/etc...) but this time was it. we have emailed the customer care centre with a compliant. but luckily it was only for one night and by the time we checked in and settled, got something to eat, we were exhausted and pretty much passed out...

congratulations on your upcoming wedding and best, best of luck in NY :)
do keep us posted! :) :)

Thank you!  I'm getting less nervous and I think I will change the appointment to before the (2nd)wedding so I can think about the that more.  I figure I will bring pictures too just in case.  God, I wish this were easier!

(just make sure you remember to cancel your first scheduled appointment ;o) (not that you would forget, but with everything else in your head now, if you did; it'd be understandable!!)

are you and your partner having a wedding in the UK and one in the US as well?

bringing pictures of you two together is a good idea. i printed out some from our wedding, but never did need to show them. :)

the whole procedure to me while we were going thru it was terribly daunting; but looking back on it, i think i over-complicated it a lot! (damn those hormones!)   i'm sure everything will go fine for you  ;D

Thanks!  My mom did the big stuff really!!!  But I have no job, so it's easy!  I can't imagine working and doing this too, it's a full time job!  No wonder people go crazy!
