Advice on craft project
« on: April 07, 2008, 07:00:40 PM »
I have been working on a cross-stitch birth announcement for friends of DH who had their 1st baby on March 17.

Here's a pic from the supplier of the one I bought.

I have everything done except adding the name/birthdate.  They just decided on middle names a few days ago. The name is Amy Mary Bernadette... which DOESN'T FIT!  I'm soooo frustrated.  I suppose I could get away with just putting the first name, but I'm worried it may look a bit empty, too much open space.

Opinions?

Could you do her first and surname instead?
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Could you re-do the name on a bit of graph paper to re-size the font so it fits?

Thank you thank you thank you!!!  I had been sitting with graph paper and playing with different fonts for a good hour or two, and was so frustrated I couldn't even see straight, and I never even thought of that :-[ :-[

First name and surname fits perfectly :)
