Recommend Independent Mortgage Broker in Cambridge?
« on: April 10, 2008, 08:20:21 PM »
Hi All.

Been reading the "getting a mortgage with less than 2 years in the UK" threads, so I get that banks may not lend based on non-ILR, but that independent mortgage brokers might be able to find something, somewhere...

Long story, short.

I'm American, wife English. We were married in Feb 2007. My spousal visa runs out in May of 2009. I've had good paying full-time job here in Cambridge since September 2007. Wife is employed as well. We're looking at houses, but standing on the sidelines waiting to see which way the wind blows. Would like to at least know we could qualify for a loan if an opportunity presented itself... Can anyone recommend a mortgage broker in Cambridge?
Thanks! Eric

I don't know any personally in Cambridge, but my company directed me to Savills and they may have a branch nearby...I've found them to be very professional and quick.

Have you asked people you know (coworkers perhaps?) for recommendations? I often find that's the best way to track down information like this.  :)
