And that "crippling mortgage" they're suffering under -- unless the real-estate market's different there than anywhere else, they're not purchasing a mansion. Yeah, their real-estate agent probably told them the property was "desirable" but it's as likely as not they purchased it cause it was the most affordable!
Seriously, that families making £100,000 a year and don't even waste money on "luxuries" still struggle under the weight of their bills is about the saddest commentary on the price of living in England I've read in a while.
Oh and hark at the lowly £15,000-making schlubs for daring to want to own a house. Who do they think they are?
