One of the ladies who works at my gym & does a nutrition program said to me that breakfast should be your biggest meal, then lunch, & dinner should be your lightest meal cause that is when most people are the least active.

I don't eat breakfast, eat a light lunch and eat a huge dinner (normally after 8pm)  I am doomed!

Yeah, I don't agree.  I tried this method (well at least for me) and al it did was keep my weight constant. Maybe it would be good when I actually reach my target weight!

I was told that even if I didn't eat breakfast which I do anyway but people who don't eat breakfast if you eat a orange for breakfast that it helps kickstart your metabolism. another thing I was told was that if you drink a hot cup of water with fresh lemon juice into it that is also supposed to help kickstart your metabolism in the morning as well.

I was also told that you shouldn't eat anything 2 hours prior to going to sleep.

Good to know, I have zero appetite in the morning so the thought of eating breakfast makes me ill, but I can at least try an orange.

You shouldn't eat before going to bed because it is more likely to lower your blood sugar and then you wake up hungry, want to eat and tend to eat more.  But the thing about not eating before bed because it alone makes you gain weight is pretty much bunk.

If you read the article these women were on a doctor monitored diet.

I've always eaten this way, big breakfast, medium lunch and little dinner.  I hate going to bed feeling 'heavy'.

Since I have been going to gym last year I have noticed that if I have anything to eat after 9:30 pm I have trouble getting to sleep usually takes me around 45 min - hour. but if I don't have anything to eat after 9:30 pm I get to sleep usually within 10- 15 mins 20 tops.

That would explain why I feel starving in the morning after having a Indian the night before!

Thats interesting to know...I can lay awake for ages sometimes trying to sleep.  Do you think its the same for a drink as well.?...not coffee or caffine etc..but I do have a hot mint choc drink before I sleep.

I've started eating four to five smaller meals throughout the day every few hours apart. I've only started lately but it seems to keep my blood sugar pretty stable.
