Hi - Just looking for input on these companies.  Deciding between Simpsons and Robinsons from the UK to the States.  Both companies use International Air & Shipping as their USA moving partner.  Anyone use any of these companies for their move and have insight/advice?  Cheers.  :)

We used Robinsons (UK side) and Graebel (on US side) last April and had a perfect move with them.  I've heard good things about Simpsons as well.  We had called and had 7 different companies give us quotes - only 4 of them actually came to our house, which is what you want them to do.  The ones that didn't come to our house to actually look at our goods did not get any consideration no matter what their quote was.  Bottom line, Robinsons had the best price quote of the 4 after some negotiating with them after we got all 4 quotes.  Some quoted for shared container and some solo - you are better having the container to yourself if possible.  Ask lots of questions about insurance, extra fees, customs, timeline, storage fees,  delivery charges at the other end, etc.
You can also go to www.movingscam.com to check out a lot of good info about moving companies stateside as well as worldwide.
Good luck
