We are going to Nashville for 2 days and wondering what suggestions you may have for us to do with 2 kids ages 12 and 3.

For kids, there's the Nashville zoo and the Adventure Science Center. There's also the Opry Mills complex, which is essentially a huge mall, but has go-karts, mini-golf and an IMAX theater thrown in, plus loads of restaurants. The Opryland Hotel, next door, has an indoor river boat cruise thingy which is about $6 and is very nice. In downtown Nashville, there are three museums; the Tennessee State Museum (really boring, I used to work there), the Country Music Hall of Fame (very neat, but you have to have an interest), and the Frist Center for the Visual Arts (steep admission).

For other stuff, like events, check out the Nashville Scene calendar.

Thank you so much. This is a last minute trip and went online but trying to pick out just a few things to do is hard. I think the kids would be bored by the museums, so the zoo and science center look like our kind of thing. Thanks again.

There's a replica of the Parthenon, which is in a park so lots of room for kids to run around. Opryland hotel is next to Opry mills and has lots nice indoor gardens/restaurants.
