Construction Engineer in UK vs. US
« on: May 24, 2004, 02:30:46 PM »
I am just wondering if any of you know how construction job titles differ in the US and the UK.  My boyfriend has his (UK) degree in construction management and his first job was titled 'engineer.' Now he has moved up to project manager and I think his next step would be superintendent.  If I was to look for jobs in the US for him, would I look at construction engineer posts?  I keep finding that construction engineers (by US standards) are civil engineers that specialize in construction.  But I don't think that is what he is.

Does anyone have a clue?

We're just trying to figure out what type of salary he'd make in the states.  So we can make the battle of 'where do we live?' even more confusing.  :)
