Actually you could, Yael!  There are a couple of filter things that fit straight into a mug. One is a Swiss Gold Filter that sits right on top of the mug.  You put the grounds in it, then pour your water from the kettle and it filters through into the mug.  Also, there is a small thing like works like a cafetiere but sits in the mug and when it's done brewing you pull it out. So it is possible!  ;D

My brother uses these types of things and he's a real coffee snob.  Not sure what make he uses.  But everytime he visits someone he arrives with a box of them because he doesn't trust anyone else to have decent coffee!

I have resorted to instant as I cant find a drip coffeemaker that I like. I am the only one that drinks coffee (DH hates hot drinks) and not many of our friends do so I have never invested a lot of time/money in trying many different ones.

Although I might buy a French press as I tried some coffee made this way, this weekend and it was delish. It was made by our Australian friend who calls it a ''plunger coffee'' lol.

I use Nescafe regular and its fine, does the job. Altho I had a severe hankering for Dunkin' Donuts coffee the other day :(

Hi Jenny   :)

I highly recommend getting a French press. I have a little one cup one (although they call it a 3 cup) that I use all the time since my husband doesn't drink coffee, and I didn't want to take up valuable counter space with a coffee maker. We have a bigger one that we use for company. So easy to use and clean. Definitely the way to go.
