UK price of instruments vs US
« on: June 14, 2008, 01:46:00 AM »
Howdy howdy howdy  [smiley=cowboy.gif]

I'm kicking around the idea of selling a Flatiron mandolin to help finance my move to the UK.  It's very nice and has become somewhat of a collectors item since they aren't made anymore.

The only reason I can think about selling it is that - in my opinion - it is replaceable.  I can totally see myself with another mando, being just as happy.  Plus, I can get around $1000 for it.  I have other instruments I can play for now (that really aren't replaceable)and some day in the future, I can get a new mando.

How are instrument prices different between the US and the UK?  Is it a better idea to ship it over and try to sell it there or do I "take the money and run".  ;D

Anyone know?
