Anyone interested in Folklore/Fairytales???
« on: April 05, 2004, 11:17:03 AM »
Hi~

I am trying to complete my senior seminar project for my German major.  The project requires a 20 page long paper in German and then a 45min to 1 hour long presentation on the topic.  Needless to say the semester is more than half over and I need to get it in gear.  Ok, I'm considering doing it on the German fairy tales and folklore, most notably the Brothers Grimm.  Anyone an expert on folklore in general?  I'm needing some help in picking an exact topic or focus area.  Once I get a topic, I'm good to go and can do tons of research, it's just that I always have the darndest time deciding on a thesis.

Any suggestions?  Know of any good books, webpages, etc.?  Just thought with this diverse group who are also history buffs, I might have a chance of finding someone who could help.  Thanks. ;D

Yeah I would love to do it on that type of folklore, but I'm limited to doing my senior seminar on German subjects...oh well. :-/  That would be a very interesting topic as well.  I will keep looking though.  Thanks. ;)
