You can get those Glad disposible tupperware type containers at Asda, I got some great ones a few weeks ago for £1.72 for (I think) 6 of them.

Yup, they're everywhere now. So no need to bring those!

In his defence he is working 6 days a week and thirteen hour days at that.

Oh definitely, but if the question was "are these things available, or does he just not want to shop" - the answer is he just doesn't want to shop.   :)

Even though these things are readily available, I can see the logic of picking them up in the US to save him the hassle and if you are going to be doing shopping anyway in preparation for the trip.  And they will be cheaper.  But if you are worried that you won't find them in London - don't worry, you will do.

It is still easier for one of you to get these things in the UK then to bring them all the way from America.

Erm, how did he manage to survive without you in the first place?

I have to agree with Stella Marie I have found baggies here in the UK but I prefer the Hefty Zip baggies myself, I even wash out my baggies an reuse them I like them that much.  ;D  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]  Dh used to laugh at me but not anymore when I explained my logic to him. the way I think of it is I'm saving money cause I'm not having my family send me more baggies when I run out.

I also have a few Tupperware items that I brought with me that are still going strong.

I laughed when he told me he wrapped a left over sandwich in a piece his drycleaning plastic bag.  At least he's recycling.   :)

Oh for goodness sake!  Your basic plastic cling wrap is available everywhere here - any supermarket, etc... ??? :)

How does he buy food in the first place?  Or is he one of those guys who eats out for every meal (or just doesn't eat at all) if there's nobody there to cook for him?  My grandfather is like that.

Sandwich bags, cling film, clothespins, etc. should be right there in the supermarket with all of the food.  Granted, I don't think my husband would be able to find them on his own, either...  ;)
