My work permit has been approved...
« on: October 07, 2008, 11:10:34 AM »
Long story short my employer let me go after the waiting time for work permits was too long, I just found out I got it for 5 years but Im back in the states...how long would it take for them to look at my limited leave to remain? Or would it be wiser to just gain entry clearance from chicago? I need my permit asap! I know theyd give me my job back because theyve not got a replacement.

It depends on which office you send it to in the US, whether it is deemed 'straightforward' (I think most of them are) or not...etc.

I understand that using a courier service helps speed up this wait time.

Best of luck.

You need a letter from your employer to get entry clearance.  If they have not taken you back don't even think of tryiing to come in.

Or do you have an in-country approval?  if so, then you need to make a new out of country application.
