Back in Jan. my DH got a great job offer in London. He accepted it before we knew we'd have to do a 6 month quarantine for my dog. (I was all for the move too.)
The first vet we went to assured us he had experience with dogs going to the UK. I found out when I called his office that he was no longer doing overseas examinations because of the paperwork. Nice that he told me....

Took Lola to another vet. Found out Vet #1 had done everything wrong, in the wrong order. Vet #2 has done everything correctly so far. But now instead of us joining my husband this past July, we can't go over until mid-January 2009.
My mom has said she'd take my yorkie while we're gone (1 year minimum). I'm too afraid to ask her if she'd take Lola too. Is it even fair to ask her? Do I even want to leave Lola back here? I'm going to pay my mom monthly to take my yorkie, plus costs, even though she didn't ask.
This is putting a strain on our marriage even though I've been able to go back to London every 6-8 weeks or so.
No one seems to be a winner in this...my husband, myself and my dogs... :\\\'(
