Intervention

If anyone loved this show in the U.S. it is now on Five Life on the freeview.

They are the old episodes.  This week's, on Sunday, is GABE!!!  He was the most entitled gambling addict ever.

I saw it listed last night as it was half over and I got all depressed when I saw it was GABE!!  If there was one episode that made me want to kill it was that one.

More than the heroin girl who stole morphine from her dying father.  At least she regretted it all and asked for help.

But GABE!! oh man.  Vanessa, on the same episode, was just so sad in comparison.  I wanted to give her a big hug.

I watched it last night. Wow! Gabe needs some serious help. His poor parents. I wonder why he was never diagnosed with a spectrum disorder as a kid, it seems a bit obvious to me that there was something going on there more than just an addiction.

I've set my Series Link!

He is a but of a nut.   After this episode first came out I belonged to a television message board that talked about him.  Someone who claimed to be a personal friend, but not Gabe, directly posted endless messages about how we just didn't understand him!!

It was pretty obvious that it was the man himself.

The gambling addicts never want help at the meeting and the families never hold them to the conditions.  I wonder if this is because it is easier to look at that as "less" of a problem than something like alcohol, even though it is clearly messing up their lives.

My best friend and I quoted him for months.  It goes beyond a spectrum disorder as well, the entitlement he displayed.

I was going to post about this, did anyone see the episode with Allison who was the former pre-med student addicted to cans of computer duster?
It really shocked me and I cried through most of it, I didn't even know you could like "do" inhalants like that, she took 10-12 cans of duster everyday, almost 24 hours a day just sucking it into her mouth, seeing her mother and sisters go through her addiction was really horrible.
