Bruce Parry's Amazon
« on: September 23, 2008, 06:24:08 PM »
Yaye!  Bruce Parry is back, trying all the native hallucinogenic tribal medicine out there & puking his guts out on national TV!  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]  ;D

Anyone else watching?!

Yep, I saw the entire vomit-fest last night. I'm so glad it's on after meal times!

Poor Bruce had a hard time with that lot last night, I think they really didn't like him much.

Yeah & there wasn't even any payoff - after drinking all that vile bark water & all that puking, he never even got a good trip off it.  :P

I think he's hot, even when he is puking!  ;) I really like the show and think he does a great job without coming off as self righteous. His experience with the tribal medicine was really honest and insightful.

Bruce, Bruce, Bruce...  ::)  There is Spanish, and then there is Portuguese.  They speak Portuguese in Brazil.  How difficult can it be to say things like "meu nome" instead of "me llamo", or "onde está" instead of "dónde está"?  And learn how to pronounce "muito" - would ya?!  ;) :P

Not sure why, but every week I fall asleep during this show at roughly 9.07 and wake up promptly as the credits roll. Other half loves it!  I hope to catch it someday  :D

I am surprised at how westernized the tribes people are. Wearing Rebok shirts, drinking coca-cola. And that one last week where the men in the tribe were seeing prostitutes and bringing back hepatitis to the tribe... it just seems very wrong because I felt so sorry for that tribe for getting this western disease brought in.. but then they said that it was the young men in the tribes fault for sleeping with the prostitutes, then sleeping with their wives!  :(
