Check in ID- only need license, correct?

Just being stupid, but I don't want to show up to the airport and look stupid- but if I'm taking an internal UK only flight, I only need my driver's license, correct?

Check with the airline.  The booking confirmation should give details, but I recently flew RyanAir from Stanstead to Glasgow and was told that the only ID acceptable was passport or ID card...therefore, passport.
