Well, how very English of you!
We were married in Texas, and none of DH's family could come.  We didn't really have any food except cake.  The only little thing we did was wedding favours that were little tealight sand castles with tags on them that had our names and the date with "Our fairy tale comes true."  We picked the sand castles due to us living here by the beach where there are loads of castles, and my family really loved them.

I made a tablecloth to put our cake on (which had Tatty Bears as the cake topper).  I used wedding photos from both of our families (even my family members that couldn't make it to the wedding).

Forgot to mention we also got a photo of DH & the best man in Union Jack boxers (from behind).   ;)  I got the idea for them to do it from a bridal magazine that had a US -UK wedding.

My family still talks about it.  I asked my immediate family members for wedding photos, but didn't tell them what for (except my Mom & DH's Mum).  My Mom was the first person to see it finished.  Dead easy to make too!  Get some iron-on transfers, a colour printer, tablecloth & iron!   ;)  Also, all the family members & friends had fun trying to figure out who's wedding photo was whos.
