Sent to LA consolate...

Hi all! just have a quick question...I sent my fiance visa app and supporting packet to the LA consolate 2 weeks ago today.  Rcv'd notice that the package was delivered 1 week ago today (by USPS).  Any ideas on how long it will be before I here anything from LA? 

I received an email confirmation from the LA consulate the same day mine was delieverd. However I used FedEx and it had to be signed for and this was back in March.

From what I've been reading across the boards, some are receiving confirmation emails, some are receiving phone calls and some don't receive anything till they have the visa in their hands!

I would go on the basis of 'no news is good news' and try not to worry about it. I know how hard that is not to do but do try to relax.

You're more than welcome...and it won't be 10 years...at least I hope not. Currently looks like they're taking about 20 days...so if that holds true you're almost half-way there.
