Awwwww! Glad to hear all is working out so well.
That all just reminded me of when DH and I finally got together (in person). We had met 3 yrs before on line, but things just never worked out for us and we stopped talking for a while. Started talking again and I went to NYC to meet him when he was over for a month. From then on we have been together-mostly. He had to go back to Scotland after a month and was going to be there for 1-2 months...he came back ten days later, we didn't want to wait for a month. While he had been home he had talked to his parents about me. They knew he had been seeing someone while in NY, but not that I was the girl who broke their son's heart all those years ago :p Yeah, needless to say they were not too happy.
Less than 4 days later his older brother was in NYC...he even took me aside while we were out drinking one night to tell me he was there to "check me out" (see what I was like, if I was really in love with his bro, etcetc).
Not the greatest beginning with my in-laws, especially because when his mom came to meet me I was pregnant and he didn't tell her until the day she was leaving to go back to the UK (which then kicked off another round of traveling because his father and mother came back to NYC not even 10 days later!)...but in the end it all worked out well. I get along great with his mother, in fact I am usually around her for a few hours every day. As for his father...he likes food and I am a great cook, so he thinks I am almost perfect...if only I would iron for his son
Man...now I am feeling all sentimental. Need to get my in-laws a card or something.
