Heartbeats!

Had our second doctor visit today (11 weeks pregnant)...

And we got to hear the baby's heartbeat!

So yay!

(And also, I haven't gained any weight yet, which also makes me happy-of course, it's probably because I'm so queasy all the time...but still!)

awwww.....that's sweet.  How wonderful!

Aww...that's sweet. And lucky you not gaining any weight..I'm envious.

When I first read the thread name HeartbeatS (plural) I thought Oh my god she's having twins! hehe

I'll never forget when I was about 6 months pregnant with my second son the doctor put the thing on my tummy to listen for the heartbeat and we didn't hear anything and he keeps moving it around and gets a really concerned look on his face. So at this point I start to panic and ask what's wrong. He said Oh sorry it seems the batteries have died...didn't mean to scare you. 

LOL!!

Well, we likely won't get a scan until 18 weeks or so...my doc just doesn't do more than that.  He said something at my 1st appt. about my cervix, and that he might do a few of those transvaginal U/S to keep an eye on it, and I guess they might do more to check on my caesarean scar, too...but I imagine that will be after the 18 week one.

Sigh.  That was another reason I wanted to be in the UK...I really didn't want to have to wait so long for the scan.

My scans were scheduiled for 12 weeks and 20 weeks, and that's all I got.... 

And I'm glad to got to hear the heartbeat! That was such a magical thing to hear for the first time.

Where the heck have I been    Congratulations!!! I didn't even know!!!
It will be fun to hear about all of the milestones - and this is a biggy!!!
